Reppin' Pottstown At The Country Music Awards
We don't follow much country music here in the Scene & Heard office, but why the heck didn't anybody tell me that this Taylor Swift chick is from WYOMISSING!? (not to be confused with the American Idol hack, Taylor Hicks) She's apparently one of the hottest things in country music these days, which sure ain't a bad feat for a little 17 year old.
Man, when I was that age, I was working at McDonalds and hanging out at diners. I didn't even like coffee yet, much less have a platinum-selling smash CD. Of course, I'm not exactly a prodigy that was blessed with her silvery gorgeous voice. But I do have something in common with this little songbird, and that's being raised around here.
Turns out she went to The Wyndcroft School as a little one here in good ol' Pottstown before her parents took her to Nashville for her to pursue her music career, which obviously paid off.
Catch her tonight on the 41st annual Country Music Association Awards at 8 pm on ABC. Rep Pottstown for us kid! Show the world we can cough up more than just ol' Daryl Hall.

Kid, if you want to be a writer, you should learn to spell people's names correct. That's TAYLOR HICKS, my friend. I guess the intellect matches the writing.
Looks like Taylor Hicks might ACTUALLY have a fan out there. Perhaps the lousy attitude matches the music taste? So his finger missed the "L" when he typed the name in on a BLOG POST. Big deal. It's not like this is the cover story in Life Magazine, it's just a blog. And you obviously knew who he meant.
i don't see anything wrong, so i'm assuming it's been fixed. but i'm so sick of going on message boards and blogs and finding the main thing people fuss about with one another is grammatical errors. if you think his writing or ideas suck and you want to argue about content, that's one thing. but if you think a person's intellect and opinions are measured by their copy-editing skills on a simple internet post, then that makes you look fairly ridiculous. these people are people that just want to find the negative side to everything. They'll never be like "hey bro, you spelled the name wrong. It's Taylor Hicks. You should fix it before some punk starts bashing you for it." Everyone thinks that finding a typo makes them special, and so they gotta act like a top dog when they find one. It just makes you look sad. So grow up. These sort of people should have their names listed in your next blog post, but spelled wrong. that would be funny.
I would also like to add that if you don't even have the guts to put your first name and are hiding behind being "anonymous" for a comment, than you should not be commenting at all. So back off "kid", you clearly have no right to judge or bash intellect or writing, since you can't recognize it when it is great.
hey who is taylor hicks it is ataylor swift is right. if you don't believe it go check ou her Albums she has a couple out. I did read one mistake though Taylor SWIFT wanted to go to nashville and her family supported her going.
